Dr. Michel Fattouche - Chief Technical Officer
Dr. Michel Fattouche is chief technical officer of Cell-Loc. Having co-founded Cell-Loc,
Dr. Fattouche led the Company for several years as president and chief executive officer.
In addition to his responsibilities with Cell-Loc, Dr. Fattouche is a tenured professor
in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary
where he has taught and conducted research since 1986. He is currently on a leave of
absence from the University to allow him more time to dedicate to technology development
at Cell-Loc. Dr. Fattouche has been affiliated with the Calgary-based TR Labs since 1989,
where he is currently an adjunct professor, and he is on the board of directors of
PsiNaptic Communications.
Dr. Fattouche currently holds nine U.S. patents and has ten additional patents
pending. He has been published in a number of well-respected publications in the field
of digital wireless communications and has spoken at several industry events.
Dr. Fattouche obtained his MSc and PhD in electrical engineering from the
University of Toronto in 1982 and 1986 respectively and he is a member of the Association
of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta. Dr. Fattouche was named
Prairies Entrepreneur of the Year 2000 for Communications and Technology as part of
Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Program.
Dave Guebert - Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Dave Guebert is vice president, finance and chief financial officer of
Cell-Loc. Dave has 25 years of experience in financial, accounting and
commercial roles in Calgary companies. Prior to joining CLTI, he was CFO at
Seminole Canada, a merchant energy company. In addition, Dave has held senior
financial positions as Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche, Controller at
the XV Olympic Winter Games Organizing Committee and CFO at Hughes Aircraft of
Canada. He is a Chartered Accountant (Alberta), a Certified Public Accountant
(Pennsylvania) and holds a B.Comm (distinction) from the University of
Saskatchewan.
Michael Hryciuk - Vice President, Engineering
Michael Hryciuk is vice president, Engineering of Cell-Loc. Michael is a professional
engineer with over 20 years of operations, manufacturing, and production experience in
areas including digital systems design, RF engineering, and the development of a tracking
Doppler radio system. He served as president for Pegasus Electronic Design Inc.;
and chief engineer for AutoTrac Technology Ltd. where he patented, designed, and
manufactured a stolen vehicle recovery system of which 80,000 transceivers have been sold
in South Africa. Michael was also chief engineer at Austec Electronic Systems Ltd.
where he was responsible for the engineering and manufacturing of an automatic vehicle
identification system for use in automatic toll collection applications.
The patented system is currently being used in the United States and Canada with over
a million units sold.
Ned Benner - Vice President, Network Development
Ned Benner is vice president of network development at Cell-Loc. Ned joined Cell-Loc in
January 2000 as director network planning after 10 years with TELUS Mobility Inc., one
of Canada's leading telecommunications carriers. By June of 2000 he assumed the
role of vice president, deployment which has since evolved into his present
role. While at TELUS, he was known for introducing novel and successful
solutions to system planning challenges. He has carried forward that innovative
nature into Cell-Loc and leads the development of network technology and system
deployment strategies. He has a master of engineering in wireless communication
and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. As well, he received the
1996 IEEE Neal Shephard Memorial Award for his paper on antenna design
strategies within cellular networks.
Bruce Fielding - Vice President, Network Operations
Bruce Fielding is Vice President, Network Operations at Cell-Loc. Bruce holds a Bachelor of
Applied Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and is a
Professional Engineer with over 18 years of telecommunications, networking and product
development experience. He has been with Cell-Loc for five years in various positions.
Prior to that, Bruce worked for Nortel Networks where he held management positions
in Product Development, Customer Service and Product Management. While at Nortel he was
responsible for the development of the Millennium Advanced Payphone Management System
software that was deployed by several North American Telco's for controlling over 100,000
advanced payphones.
Keith Bohn - Vice President, International
Keith Bohn is vice president International at Cell-Loc. Keith holds a Bachelor of
Education from the University of Saskatchewan and is an independent businessman.
One of the business ventures that Keith owns has acquired an ownership interest in
Cell-Loc’s Calgary network as well as the licensing rights for the remainder of Alberta,
Austin, Texas and Vancouver, B.C. Until 2004, Keith had been Sr. Vice-President of Seminole
Canada Gas Company, which acquired PG&E Energy Trading, Canada Corporation where he had
been a senior vice president since 1995. Before joining PG&E, Keith held senior positions
in the marketing and international development departments at Gulf Canada Resources Limited.
